The Gal Behind the Bangs..

Heya! I’m Catherine! The ginger in the city.

A city dweller, coffee inhaler, health & wellness lover, wanna-be writer, and nutrition consultant in training. Welcome to my little corner on the great wide web!

I am currently in school studying nutrition and have decided to create this little sanctuary to help motivate others (as well as myself) to become more mindful about everything in life.

 A healthy lifestyle isn’t just about nutrition..and even though I love to share all of my nutrition learnings/ healthy(ish) recipes; I’m not all about nutrition.

I believe that living a healthy lifestyle encompasses everything from the foods that you ingest, products that you put on, people that you connect with, thoughts that you let in, and everything that you put out.

In here, you will find nutrition facts, healthy(ish) recipes, Chicago happenin’s, random ginger thoughts, easy DIYs, and a whole lot of feel good positive vibes. I like to consider this a collage of everything I have learned in my wonderful (30) years of life; through my own trials and errors. (Read more about those here!)

I aim to empower you to live your happiest, best life by sharing my own experiences, tips, tricks, and life hacks. It doesn’t have to be hard or complicated to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

It’s okay if you don’t have your whole life mapped out quite yet. As long as you stay true to yourself by focusing on becoming your best version – you are in the right direction.

Let’s live our best lives. Simply. 

On any given day, you can find me ::  cozied up with a cup of coffee in my cute one bedroom apartment (in Chicago), making a mess creating a delicious recipe in my tiny kitchen, roaming the aisles at Trader Joes, dancing around (with or without music), expanding my knowledge with a book on holistic nutrition, or somewhere laughing at my own jokes.
