**I wanted to start by saying, I have no photos to post relevant for this, so if you don’t want to read then simply enjoy the funny pictures!**
So I’ve been a bit reluctant to post about this yet, but something really cool happened: I got a job. Or well, technically, an internship that will hopefully lead to a job.
It all really happened so incredibly fast- so let me rewind and explain it all. I’ve been a bit run down with dealing with interviews and unanswered emails. So I got this email one morning from a job board I look telling me about similar positions I might be interested in.
The first one was for a social media marketing intern. So I applied. It sounded like a good position so I wrote a cover letter detailing the information that I’ve done for my job in Knoxville and some clips from there. I sent it to them and didn’t think much more about it.
Later that day I was on the phone with my dad, still clearly upset over my recent “we’ve gone with another candidate” email, when I just off handedly mentioned that I applied for the job and that it sounded like a really good opportunity. Later that afternoon I got a call from them asking me to come in for an interview.
I went in on a Friday and met with two people at the company. I fell in love- with the atmosphere, the people, the vibe. Everything. So they asked me to come back and meet with one final person the next Monday. I met with her for like 10 minutes and she was so amazing and positive. I didn’t want to get my hopes too high, but it seemed like things were going really well.
On Wednesday they officially offered me the job! And on Thursday I said yes! And I start on Monday. So in just over a week I went from interview #1 to interview #2 to having a new job!
I’ll go into more detail about the company and my specific job in the next week or two once things have settled down.
Oh! And something else cool is about to happen- my mom and aunt are coming to visit me during July 4th! And it’s my mom’s birthday! So looks like June is ending pretty great and July looks to be starting off nicely as well.
