Well+Good’s barre3 event with founder Sadie Lincoln.

I’m really excited about this post- even though I’ve just scarfed down half a black and white cookie and a turkey and roast beef sandwich from Lenny’s (not the same as the one in Knoxville). I got the amazing pleasure to help work and attend Well+Good’s barre3 event on Tuesday night.

First, there aren’t currently any barre3 studios in New York- although there are some barre combination classes. Barre3 is a combination of ballet (specifically the use of the bar), yoga, and pilates. This event, which was hosted by founder Sadie Lincoln, was intense.

And amazing. And such a huge workout. I was seriously pumped. Not only was the studio gorgeous…

but I fell in love with the workout. It’s tough. Really tough. But it’s great. And it is why I left I could eat a black and white cookie before my sandwich (I also felt slightly faint). But back to the workout.

If you haven’t, you need to try taking classes. It is by far the easiest way to keep yourself motivated for the hour. Working out with a friend is great, but it’s not always an option.

So check out a class in your area. A barre class if they have it! Have you done barre? Barre3?
